We pro breastfeeders are always told that bf reduces our risk of breast cancer AND that of our daughter(s). I've never seen this reported in the popular media until last week -

64 percent of breast cancer sufferers had never breastfed, the article says.

Yes, it's powder baby food.

thanks very much for the advice Keitakai and hotmomma. when you say brown rice cereal you meant you bought the ready-made packs (just add breastmilk/water)? or grind it from actual brown rice?

I just started my breastfed baby on organic brown rice cereal. He was a week under 5 weeks but really needed something more. I mix it with my breastmilk and so far it's been pretty watery. He's had no constipation, rather he's become more regular than before. I chose brown rice because it's richer in nutrients and white rice has a tendency to make caucasians constipated(my baby is half).

I introduced Reych with Nestle Cerelac at first, though I shifted to organic food after finishing a pack. Made him pure and natural homemade solids - like potatoes, carrots, pumpkin - to name a few. Oh, and egg yolk too. Of course they are well mashed (using a blender/food processor) mixed with breastmilk or water before I feed it to my baby.

Reych like the natural foods better. Healthier, less constipation, no chemical taste, real food. Less worries for me too.

Yep, it is with doctor's go ahead.

Hope this helps!

what first solid food you give your baby once he can start having solid food? my baby is turning 6 months old soon and i bought Heinz's rice cereal (any good?). he's been exclusively breast-fed since a few days old. a bit dubious with rice cereal as my older son had serious constipation once he started solid a few years ago (he also started with rice cereal)... any advice welcome!

Hi mommies! Hope everyone's doing great :)

A proud mom to my 10 month old son. Yep, Reych is exclusively breastfed; and still nursing him. :)

- cheers to that!

Is there no longer a LLL meeting on the Gold Coast?
